Our Board

HELPING HERTS HOMELESS is a charity run entirely by volunteers

All monies raised go directly to helping the homeless in Hertfordshire. Following are some of our key players…

Owain

Owain Lister

Chair of Trustees and Property Advisor

Owain retired in 2021 after a 40 year career managing construction projects whilst keeping active in the local community.

Owain joined HHH as a volunteer in 2022 and was subsequently elected as a trustee and chair of the charities board.

He has overseen a period of rapid change within the charity to build on longstanding strengths and looks forward an exciting future helping alleviate homelessness in Hertfordshire.

Peter Warren

Trustee

Peter was a research scientist with ICI, and is now retired.

He has been a volunteer with the Charity since 2001, and was involved with the development of the services and the purchase of the premises in 2006.

Ian Chapman

Trustee

Ian has a background in travel, tourism and operations having worked for TUI Travel Group for over 25 years both in the UK and Overseas.

Ian is currently a board director at TUI Destination services and an Ambassador for the Holiday association charity.

Katherine Bridge

Katherine Bridge

Trustee

Katherine has volunteered at the charity for over 20 years, primarily helping with fundraising events. She joined the board in June 2023.

Katherine formally worked in procurement, but more recently ran her own catering company, and currently works as the Food and Menu Chef at Herts Catering Limited.

Elizabeth Poole

Elizabeth Poole

Trustee

Having studied at the Royal Academy of Music, Liz spent 18 years as a full time member of the BBC Singers. She now combines a freelance career as a classical singer and teacher.

She has been volunteering for Helping Herts Homeless for over 15 years on the fundraising team, and is delighted to have joined the Trustees in 2023 at this exciting time for the charity.

In her spare time she enjoys cooking, walking and looking after her chickens and allotment in her home of Pirton.
