Donating Money

Monetary donations are greatly welcome. As well as the costs of supporting and maintaining our own hostel The Sanctuary, we provide financial assistance to other like-minded charitable organisations. We are very grateful for all donations but it would be particularly helpful if you could pledge a monthly donation however small.

Both types of donations can be made through Just Giving or if you prefer to set up a direct bank transfer with a standing order, please use the contact form to get in touch.

Taxpayers can make their donations more valuable to us via Gift Aid as this provides us with an extra 25% on any sum given.

Food Donation

Donating Items & Food

The Charity collects offers of various foods (non perishable) and material items (toiletries, clothing & household goods). These are then redistributed to the hostels and other organisations that we support. Requirements vary from time to time but the following items are normally welcome:-

  • Coffee & Tea
  • Sugar, Milk UHT, Biscuits
  • Meat & Tuna, Fruit, Vegetables (tins)
  • Breakfast Cereals
  • Toiletries – soap, shampoo, shower gel, deodorant, disposable razors etc
  • Sanitary products
  • NEW bed linen (for single beds); Duvets, Pillows, Towels
